Happiness

This is what makes me happy, sunshine, a garden and a dog - and a great man too - but he was busy elsewhere at the time!

So lovely to be back home with the weather improving, the plants all raring to go, leaves and flowers appearing everywhere and the days already getting longer. Was able to spend all afternoon in the garden, in the sunshine,

While we were away a section of the old stone wall in the front garden collapsed, the hebe hedge had been gradually heaving away at it for years, but luckily the only casualties were a few daffodils. I have pruned the hedge hard back so Mike can rebuilding the wall, there's not a lot of room and all the branches were at eye level! He's already moved a huge pile of stone, it's always amazing how much there is in a small length of dry stone wall!

Thanks for all your comments and concern about Ollie. I'm happy to say he is just about back to his old self - phew!
