Froth

(A foolish gentleman in Shakespeare’s Measure For Measure).

This comical little fellow with his silly expression and exaggerated posture is one of a pair of chuckleheads that my mother purchased years and years ago in an English antique shop. They bear the red crown mark that distinguishes them as early Derby pieces. This is not the first time I have photographed this funny chap ~ he and his friend appeared in my journal last year, on May 9th.
