Finished Product

Here's the finished product. I hate decorating the plastic tray provided as a base for the house. The royal icing provided as a glue is just too stiff and thick for me to pipe out over the remaining uncovered portion so I said to heck with it this year. I'm happy with it and that's all that matters.

In other news, the blizzard hit yesterday (this is a back blip). Everything was closed. Living in Wisconsin we are very used to big snow storms, but this was one was different. Blizzard conditions for well over 36 hours straight. The entire state was shut down - nearly every public and private school, colleges, universities, all government operated agencies (excluding emergency services), etc. My husband couldn't make it work, snowed in. The drifting was the main cause for concern - 4 foot high in many places. Today the blizzard is over and we are left with frigid temperatures. In the negatives (F*) with windchills in the negative teens to twenties (F*).
