Great Egret babies

seen at the wetlands boardwalk today ( there are many Great Egrets nesting). Among other finds, the tri-colored heron that had one egg in in the nest now has three (there are many- it's the one closest to the boardwalk- very close!), and one of the little green heron nests has a chick. Some of the Great Blue Heron chicks are already testing their wings as they stand in the nest, others are still just-hatched fluff- balls with prehistoric bills. Wish I could show more, will have to go back soon.
