Paddling in the early light

That time of the month again. Council meets next week, and the weekend before the meeting is when I get to read the agenda papers. For that reason (and a couple of other reasons as well) we chose to not take ourselves north.

Thus, the morning run today was in Auckland, and I decided to head down to Westhaven, to take a photo of the sunrise over the yachts in the marina. Despite getting at least one good photo of that, I have opted for a photo taken 10 minutes earlier as I was running along Westhaven Drive, past St Mary's Bay.

The sky behind the buildings at Wynyard Quarter was quite beautiful, as these two kayakers were beginning to paddle across the bay to join a colleague who had just crossed the bay.
