Cupidity

Auto dealer Ron Tonkin mural on SW Second Ave (2007).

I used to eat at a restaurant near this mural and found it highly amusing.
Today I set out to photograph it, and it's no longer there. Painted over.
I had to make do with a memory of the real thing.
Notice that Cupid's arrow is a car key.
"Come away with me, Lucille,
In my merry Oldsmobile...."

Day 4: Cupid - a character in the masque within ‘Timon of Athens’

I started the poem of the day on my own, but I have to confess I got a little help from a rhyming dictionary.
The sentiment of this poem may be left over from my bank sonnet.
