Not a Chicken in Sight
Well the weather in Aberdeen and the local area was so Fowl (not a Chicken in Sight) today. Low thick misty cloud, temperature not rising above 6 Deg C. Drizzle rain, then pouring. So I had no idea as to what to photograph today for my 365 challenge.
Then leaving the livery yard after the second vets visit to Meesha in less than 24 hours. I spotted this feller and his wife in a local field. She was so shy she flew off. He however allowed me a couple of pictures. This is one!
Pheasants are characterised by strong sexual dimorphism, males being highly ornate with bright colours and adornments such as wattles and long tails. Males are usually larger than females and have longer tails. Males play a part in rearing the young. Pheasants typically eat seeds and some insects.
