Small Pleasures

Another grey, wet and misty day. One advantage of days like this is that I don't resent being stuck inside at my desk so much. By lunchtime the rain had stopped so I went and sat outside to eat my sandwiches. It was lovely as the air was filled with bird song and I heard my first chiff chaff of the year. The swathes of daffodils in the botanical gardens - a delicate lemon colour - looked beautiful amidst the mist.
