Coming to life

Managed a trip out to the RSPB reserve at Middleton Lakes at lunchtime, though I think all the bird life had popped off to the café at The Courtyard at Middleton Hall. They'd all gone back to their roosts by the time I got there for my sausage sandwich, of course. Some of the trees were beginning to look really splendid, though, so I turned my macro lens on them instead of the absent bird life.
