I can't remember when we bought this globe. It was probably in the mid-80s; you can see it's marked for the USSR across the top.

This lives on top of a high bookcase. I lifted it down to take the picture then had to put it back. Because I have limited mobility in my left arm I struggled a bit and ended up dropping it on my head. I wish I'd gone for the War memorial now.
