rib buddies

Early start this morning. I left J to do some studying and headed over for the early morning swim session with Edinburgh Triathletes starting at 8am, on a SATURDAY. Met up with one of J's old work colleges, as he is a member. Seem to be a nice club. I was put in the medium swim lane and could only keep up for the first 40 minutes. After that it got too hard. Managed to bang hands a few times as well. Not used to swimming in lanes with people coming the other way. Well hope it was hands if not someone will have a black eye in the morning.

After changing it was off for a 30K bike ride with them. Very gentle and wasn't too bad. Riding in a group you do have to give hand signals for potholes and parked cars. I struggle to stay on the thing and keep up let alone give hand signals as well.

Came home for a rest and to watch qualifying. While J did some more studying I did some more work on the photo book from the last 3 holidays. Only got till Thursday to finish them before the credit runs out on the website.

Cooked venison curry for tea before going down to meet fellow blipper RD for a couple of beers. He had just completed a 30 mile practice walk for his 56 mile walk later in the year. While we were there these two guys ordered ribs. As part of it they got these plastic bibs. Ribs did look good, might have to try them one day.
