One Man And His Nephew

I was three months short of my fifteenth birthday when My brother Adrian was born. By his second birthday I had been in the Navy for eighteen months.
Aside from a short spell when Mum and Dad were in hospital and I had compassionate leave to look after him we have spent very little time together in the intervening forty-three years.
But I believe we are probably closer now than we have ever been, we might not speak regularly but we keep in touch and that's what family is all about.

It's what Mum and particularly Dad always wanted, the family to remain together.

Adrian made Joshua a model of a Buccaneer, an RN carrier launched strike aircraft. He made it, painted it, carefully packed it with an accompanying letter and had it delivered by courier to our house.
Joshua was absolutely thrilled, he had no idea. He was not only thrilled by the model, what young boy wouldn't be, but also by the fact that his Uncle Adrian, who he doesn't know well had thought of him.

Such gestures borne out of love are the glue that binds family together.

Well done brother!!
