Moorhen chicks
We went for a wander in Arundel Wetlands Centre this morning as the smog had lifted. We noticed quite a few changes, even from Monday. The diving ducks, where we sit and drink our coffee, were all huddled on the banks and there were lots of feathers around. There were lots more Mallard ducklings wandering around and we were delighted to see this little Moorhen family.
His nibs has almost finished painting the doors, just one to go. We're now in total upheaval as we decided to spring clean the carpets and shampoo the sitting room and hall. That of course means all the stuff from the sitting room is spread through our other (few) rooms. Hopefully we'll finish that tomorrow. We have strict times in our lease for when we are allowed to do 'noisy things' - and the carpet shampooer is definitely noisy. We had to finish by 5pm today and we'll have to finish tomorrow lunchtime whether we're finished or not. Maybe we'll get that last door painted after that. The first grandchild arrives on Sunday for a few days painting holiday. Then the others arrive at the end of the week for a holiday with us.
