Work in progress.......................

This is the first afternoon, in more than a month, that Ann has actually had an afternoon off when the weather has been good enough to do some jobs on our sun terrace.

She has been planting, re-potting, weeding, tidying, etc, etc, etc.

In fact, she was doing so many jobs I thought she might have forgotten that the most important afternoon job was to take me for my walk.

I kept going up to her and nudging her with my nose.......................

.........................That made her mad!!!

She said, ‘Molly, you have lived with me for more than nine years and I have never, ever, forgotten to take you for your afternoon walk. ...............But there’s a first time for everything!!!’

I took that to mean, if I didn’t stop being so hyper and annoying, I wouldn’t get a walk – so I just lay down and had a little snooze.

Today my afternoon walk was lovely. I went along the beach and rolled around on exactly the same spot as I did yesterday. Ann hasn’t a clue why??? She couldn’t see anything stinky there.

Then we went to see 'Mr Colenso' because we want some black decking paint. He didn’t have any and his slogan is – ‘if we’ve not got it you don’t need it’ but he tried to sell us some grey decking paint. I think Ann’s been taken in by his sales jargon. She’s now thinking that grey decking might be more sophisticated than black decking?? What do you think Blippers????

For such a small house and such a small sun terrace, Ann seems to spend an awful lot of time doing domesticated/maintenance chores.

She’s just spent 3 hours painting 5 plant pots – only another 10 to go!!

Next weekend her best friend, Caroline, is coming to stay.................................... And she’s determined they’re going to be drinking ‘Prosecco’ on our new colour co-ordinated sun terrace????

Time will tell!!!
