Room with a View
My study or more correctly my home office as I work there; I don't study there, well not unless contemplating my belly button counts as studying.
Two memorable sights spring to mind when I look back over my time working from home:
~ The people opposite. Both retired, but not old old. Maybe mid 60s. The number of times I see them both stood in the bay windows staring out at the street. Is this really what retirement is about? I hope not, and if it is, then I will continue working till I drop dead.
~ This little old old couple who pass by twice a day every day, once on the way to wherever they are going and once on the way back. What really fascinates me is that they are never together. She is always at least 10 yards in front of him. Either he is a slower walker than she is or he really pissed her off way back and she is giving him the longest ever cold shoulder in the history of the human race
I don't want to be either of these couples when I reach old age. I want to be outside not inside looking out and if anyone is going to be in front as we waddle to the shops or wherever, it's going to be me :-)
