Another beauty

I got home at 6 tonight to 38 degrees C in my house. Urgh

So I went outside where it was marginally cooler and found this pretty lady on a tree stump. I had to rush back inside for my camera, fumble changing my lens, all the while being certain that she'd be gone when I got back out there. But no! There she was still looking pretty. Check her out close up.

I suspect she was fairly newly emerged as she appeared to be drying her wings - in fact as the sun moved slowly, so did she to stay in the warmth.

Last night I went for open wings so tonight I've chosen to blip them closed to show the difference.

NOTE: Yet again, I'm off tramping tomorrow - this time in the Red Hills. I'll have to back blip on Sunday.
