happy
Happy birthday to me (not until Saturday, but we celebrated a couple days early).
The family enjoyed a rare (for us) mid-week restaurant dinner tonight at Habana Cuba on Race Street. I enjoy this restaurant because it's colorful, old, unpretentious, kinda quirky and the food is delicious. I had the Rabo Encendido (oxtail, slowly braised in a spanish red wine tomato sauce) and I ate every last damn bite. Finished dinner with a Café Cubano at the restaurant and then New York cheesecake at home... talk about a food coma, I can barely type this now :).
This wasn't the best photo today, but I chose it for my Blip because it captured the feeling of the evening. Out of focus & not composed well, but colorful and happy. Luckily Annalie was a much better waitress than photographer - her bright smile and cheerful attitude enhanced the experience for us.
