ABOYNE

Working out at Aboyne this morning.
I stopped at the Loch of Aboyne on the way back to Aberdeen
and took a dozen photographs.
It was good Scots weather today
That mixture of mist and rain
prevalent on the west coast.
It barely seems to justify waterproofs
but a brief foray out to take a photograph
leaves you almost drowned.
However, the thin layer of moisture
was making the birch trees shimmer
and diffusing the light.
So it's not the loch but the trees, reed bed and misty hill that you are getting.
Rather minimalist but more appealing to me
than the loch, swan and view.
