This is Matthew

Rather camp. Matthew approached me in town; "You'd like to buy some of my cakes wouldn't you!" (a statement, not a question). He was running a stall on the market and wanted to get rid of the last of his stock. "O.K." I said, "as long as you'll let me take your photo." "Alright, but I'm not very photogenic."

As you can see he, Matthew, was wearing a chef's hat. I've always thought that hats are brilliant theatrical props; put on a policeman's helmet, a bishop's mitre, a flat cap, a stetson, a bowler, each can give you a different personality instantly. He posed for me with a small bag of rhubarb tarts. Nice eyes.
