Home Sweet Home.....HA!

Well this is what we had to drive thro, going up the Big Hill this morning at 8.45 am, after spending roughly 16 hours of travel! We left Cuba yesterday around 5pm, glorious sunshine, warm winds and +30! Our last day there was beautiful if a bit harried! We had heard we were coming home to some 'weather' so there were frantic emails back and forth to help us decide whether to just stay over night in Halifax. In the end we found out our road had been plowed but of course the long steep driveway was impassable! Richard (and the dogs) met us at the top providing us with toboggans, boots, gloves and snowshoes! It was a pretty weird experience after 2 weeks of almost nakedness and sandals!

Managed to have a 3 hour nap and now i'm ready to deal with 'home'! First thing to be dealt with are the over a 1000 images i took. Hopefully within the next couple of days i'll get the photographs up!

What an amazing place - so beautiful and happy! the Cuban's once again stole the show...they are such gracious welcoming folks (especially those working at the resort), lots of wonderful memories to savor for sure!
