New Mural at Buckfast Abbey

A trip out with friends today in fairly miserable conditions. First stop was the Guild of Master Craftmen at Bovey Tracey to view the large variety of artisan products, and for the obligatory coffee break. Thereafter to Buckfast Abbey for lunch in the refectory which provided the opportunity to view the new mural which was officially unveiled yesterday. It depicts the construction of the present Abbey which commenced in the early 1900s. and is a stunning piece of work.
