Elusive

Every now and then we hear of expeditions setting out to prove that the thylacine, or Tasmanian tiger, is not extinct. You'll hear of farmers who swear blind that nothing else could be stealing their stock or drivers who are convinced they saw one by the road at night.

Of course, they could just look on my bookshelf and they find one. It's funny to think that they were alive during the period I'm now studying. They were being hunted and slowly made extinct, but they still existed.
