The Head and the Heart
I decided to take a Benadryl last night to help me sleep, and I set an early alarm, but then my body was all like, "Let's sleep until 1!" and I was all like, you know, sleeping, so I couldn't do anything about it. It's whatever. I did dishes that have been sitting on my desk since roughly February.
Soooo warmmmmmm outside, though. I went to central campus to mail some packages, and was rudely told to bug off by the Cornell Store employees (they were taking inventory), so I shipped them in c'town, grabbed a bagel, and soaked up the sun on the slope.
Caught a bus downtown to go see the Head and the Heart! Basia Bulat opened for them, and I had never heard of her before, but I'm totally sold now. She's amazingly talented, and a total cutie, bless her soul. The Head and the Heart were like, so frickin' great, holy crap. I was about four people away from the stage. I know you can totally tell from this wonderful and totally not blurry picture.
Yeah, so, they were really great. The songs were all really emotional, and they put on one heck of a show. I thought it'd be a bit weird going to the concert alone, but it was really nice in a way.
Caught a cab home (Waiting alone for 45 minutes to catch the TCAT from the commons at 11 PM? I think not.) and forgot to tip, whoops. I'm a terrible person.
