S.O.M.

Those who aren't midwives will not understand why I found this amusing. I was driving through Abingdon today for my job, and I was stuck behind this learner car at a traffic lights. I just had to whip my camera out and take a pic through my sahara encrusted windscreen. (I was stationary at the time).

To explain my amusement ... every midwife in the UK has a supervisor of midwives, or S.O.M. who makes sure the midwife keeps up to date with requirements, training etc, hence protecting the public. So I just wondered what a strange S.O.M. was, or perhaps who?
