The devil is in the detail...

.... not really, I think, but it's a good quote. Attributed variously - but most convincingly based on Flaubert - "Le bon Dieu est dans le détail"!

Anyway, here's the point. In the macbook pro the power connector doesn't plug in! It is clamped on by a magnetic force. I have no idea why this impresses me. Either I am seeing to the heart of something extremely important in the progress of human intelligence. Or I am a sad, possibly sick, person who has lost the technological plot.

The details change around us all the time in every conceivable area..... maybe the devil is that we don't even notice the subtle developments. But there is nothing remotely diabolic about it all - thinking so is on the way to madness!
