LAST OF LAST YEAR'S SEED HEADS, MAYBE

I love seed heads.

Now we'll be distracted by the first flowers of Spring and then the throng of summer flowers, but the whole point of a flower is to make things happen towards the production of seeds.

I still end up marvelling at this empty seed head. Job done.

Does anyone want to guess which flower species has generated this seed head?
