342/365 [closing down]

It seems the lights are going out on Borders in more ways than one. I took a trip down tonight having just been in at lunchtime, this time to buy one final Christmas present, and to visit Starbucks for a Strawberry Frappuccino. I've never seen the place so busy as it's been this last week, and the shelves are emptying fast.

The trouble is, the prices at heavily discounted prices still aren't as competitive as Tesco or Amazon. And therein lies Borders' problem. It became too easy to simply pass through on the way to Starbucks.
