The Fourth Plinth

I love this vivid blue statue on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square. Wonderfully out of place.

Everywhere was really busy. Long queues for the National Gallery and hordes of tourists ( lots and lots of French teenagers) streaming past the lions. Rather misty (air pollution we're told) but summer warm.

It's been a grand day out.

Sunflowers to start with. Fascinating insight into the famed Van Gogh paintings with the Amsterdam one reunited with the London one.

Then a splendid lunch at Bocca di Lupo (I've blipped it before).

And an afternoon back in the National Gallery at the Veronese exhibition. Wonderful.

Now on the heaving 5.03 heading home.
