Esurient
This is Puffin, taking the opportunity of an open door to get into the hens' place and scoff their layers' pellets.
I do feed my cats, I promise. Cat food, cat treats, leftover meat off my plate, they get the lot. This is an example of pure greed.
They both do it by the way, although as usual, it's Puffin who poses... Heron is much harder to get photos of. I wonder what it is about, of all things, layers' pellets! I'll swear the cats like them more than the hens do.... what the hens want, are grubs, and grass, and vegetable seedlings.
Anyway, I thought this was perfect for DDW's photochallenge, Word no.27, Esurient... meaning hungry or - more to the point - greedy.
If a cat eating layers' pellets isn't esurient, I don't know what is....
