The Basking Red Eared Slider

It's nice having a new habitat for the turtles as well as having then out of the back room so I can see them and interact with them.
They had no fear of me until the move, which must have spooked them.
This is the first time I could walk near then without the major hub bub of them scrambling away.
Perhaps the baby romain lettuce they devoured this morning built trust?
I am skimming the tank daily due to their current need to shed, which is grossing me out. I suppose they will have a growth spurt for the efforts but it really is gross.
