So, in 'real life' the patch of dark on the right of the photograph is actually a kind of turquoise colour and the patch of light on the left is actually white. It's a topcoat/undercoat scenario going on. Until tomorrow at least, when the 'dark' will envelop the 'light' completely. Quite literally too, not in some metaphorical sense.
