Border Planting

It was all very well getting the Head Gardener to pull out a load of old heather, but it did leave a very large gap in the border. So today, we decided to start filling the space and this is as far as we've got. It doesn't look much, but there are nine new plants in here and we plan to fill some of the gaps with annuals until they thicken up.

Also spent a lot of time pulling out some of the hundreds of sycamore seedlings which have blown into the garden from the park next door. We've never known so many take root!

Very envious of the warmth and sunshine down south, as it was still pretty chilly outside up here:-)
