Dr Bulldog doing his thing at the Ottobeuren Golf course. Had to go to the post office in Ottobeuren and on the spur of the moment thought of going to the golf course which we have only done once before in 2013.

Again turned out to be much longer than planned, again partly due to it being extremely busy and having to constantly wait, much to Luna's disgust. However as last time, we got loads of friendly greetings and had several short chats. At one point we watched someone drive out of bounds and when they gave up looking for the ball, we had a look and found it managing later to catch up with them and give it back. Flash is not a great fan of golf even if they play with balls. He can't stand the noise of drivers particularly the metal ones. At one point he dashed off alone and sought refuge with two young greenkeepers at their workshops. From a distance I could see how friendly they were to him although he got in the way as they trying to load stones in to trailers. When I caught up, I explained and they were very relaxed.

Right at the end of the walk, we came across DrB. He says the greens are now beginning to show signs of scorching. Extraordinary weather especially if one looks at my Blip this time last year. In 2012 we saw the last snow on 28th April.

Farmer Franz had been around early this morning to borrow our petrol generator to do some work on his summer pasture hut. He told me he had been on an organised bus trip to the John Deere factory at Mannheim on Friday with Albert & DrB. I think Albert had organised it, being a JD man. They seemed to have fun despite the 8 hours in a bus. DrB didn't buy anything - I think he views my 49 year old JD as modern technology and will stick to his oldtimers (and Toro).
