Let's hear it for the boy
In life, the most I want is for my children to be loved, and to be happy.
The loved bit is not a problem - they will always. both, be completely and totally adored by me and their dad.
Happiness, we have always striven for.
When they were young, we did fun things. We walked fields, we played in play parks, we swam, we camped, we burnt fires, we had pokey sticks, we played hide and seek in the dark, and laughed til I wee'd. We ate out, we took them to football, to hockey, to volleyball, to dancing, to tennis. Our life's, became their life's. Whatever they really wanted to do, we really tried to achieve for them.
We stood cold and wet sidelines. We tried to maintain a modicum of decorum whilst the referees obviously were in need of glasses.
And then they flew the nest, almost - Boy to America, and Tooli to Edinburgh, and they both blossomed.
Boy is nearing the end of his four years... can you believe that? I Blipped him leaving four whole years ago come May. He's job hunting now... over there, and I am delighted. The world is their lobster and I want them to do whatever they want to do.
At University Boy celebrated his "Senior" game - his last home match as a Senior At Mount Olive... he played as good a match as he has ever played and to his, and our delight he was named "Conference Carolina's Player of the Week. What better celebration for your last home game as a Trojan.
And as you can see... he's happy, and he's doing very well on the love front too...
I'm glad there's someone over there to hug him for me :-)
