I had a transfer in Charlotte, North Carolina where I got desperate for a packet of salty crisps. Without any dollars left I decided to ask the most rock n roll looking people in the flight departure line (that's me speaking American again) if they fancied swapping some dollars for some pounds. They not only obliged but insisted on buying me a large packet of Lays (the all-time super salty international crisp/chip of choice). The rock n roll guys and gals turned out to be Halestorm who were headed to the UK for a sell-out tour. I asked them what kind of music they played, 'loud, real loud' they replied. I'm now on the guest list for one of their gigs and kinda feel obliged to go.
