Musical interlude

Ah, do you hear that? What a wonderful thing to hear, the sound of a bird singing. Any idea what it is? There it is, I think, in the branches - something small; a robin, perhaps?

Time was, you - or anyone - would have known him instantly from his song. But these days? In a city like this, no-one cares who our tuneful friend is, or even the name of the tree he's sitting in.

But listen to the joy in his song! Such optimism!
