Closed All Hours

Looks like our village shop is for the chop again!

That sign appeared in the shop door in the wee small hours of Monday morning much to the surprise of the customers AND the staff.  Apparently the owner had sneaked in over night, changed the locks on the doors, and put the sign up!!  The best of it was that Jonny lives on the premises and didn’t hear anything.

It’s a shame as Jonny and Helen had really built up a loyal and good customer base – only time will tell now.

I notice (from the photo . . . poor old fellow, his eyes are getting dim . . . ) that the illuminated ‘Spar’ sign from the front of the shop has gone now as well.
