An unexpected opportunity!

Today looked by being a poor one for blips but I can always rely on Queen's Park (and a break in the rain) to come up trumps. I spotted the heron on 20th March (recorded on Noni 423)but I thought it had left having finished off the frogspawn. While watching the coots & moorhens nesting I became aware of the heron standing beside the small pond. As I approached (of course) it took flight but only to the opposite end of the pond so I kept stalking until it headed up to the tree tops - such a privilege!
