Had a coffee with my sister in Rozelle this morning and passed this building.
The owners have restored or renewed the ads on what would once have been a general store.
I like the lane on the left for the dunny man.
Would be too much to expect that Australia Post could have positioned the postbox more sensitively.

When I lived in Balmain nearly fifty years ago these general stores were everywhere.
I lived in a row of six terraces with its own corner store, which you can see here.

The Chinese man who owned it used to sell the local kids one Stuyvesant for 10c, and smoked something a bit more unusual himself, in a pipe:)
