Fatima at 5

If you have followed this blip, you will know who Harisen is: His official title might be country director for Wells for Zoe in Malawi, but both he and I would find this very grande.
Officially he works for us, since June 15, doing everything. He loves his people and wants to do the best for them, and so do I. That's why we get on so well.
Everyone loves him.
Today's pic shows his only daughter Fatima, with her friends at her 5th birthday.
I Skyped him on Friday to ask him to buy somthing nice for the gang and I figure 17 bottles may be part of that.
Few children in Malawi would ever have tasted Sprite, Coke or Fanta, (or clean water either), so this will be an occasion to remember,

It was Fatima's birthday on 30th. She wore a beauiltful dress which Caitriona bought for her as a birthday present.

Harisen.

The Cake referred to is the most amazing I ever tasted, an iced sponge.
It is made by Harisen's wife Charity, outside her back door, on a charcoal fire, in an oven, with red hot coals on the lid.
It was also a favourite with Kevin and the two Caitriona's (to die for as they say)
(By the way Charity is altother an amazing cook, using the most primitive equipment).
Finally birthdays are rare in Malawi, as most people dont even know what age they are, never mind birth dates
