New man in my life

Richard left me about three weeks ago, and I've been feeling wobbly and unsteady since, especially after a rather poor scan result. Then Christine rang and said that the pouffe I'd seen in Lauder when we went Christmas shopping and I loved but didn't buy - was still in the shop! So she bought it as I was too busy to go and get it, and I collected it from her today. Isn't he handsome? Lose a husband and get a pouffe instead. A good exchange.

I went to the Western today with my Maggie's pals to visit one of us in hospital. It was Margaret's 75th birthday, and Sharleena brought a cake and it was a real celebration, fun and full of life. Margaret looks thin and rather frail but her eyes are still full of spirit. She's an inspiration to me.

It's been a good day. I'm feeling very fortunate.
