What a grey day!

I finished my jury service today; a good citizen free from another one for 5 years. I found it interesting, informative, arcane and don't like to think about the cost of having 15 people plus all the court, police and G4S staff in one place. Necessary but expensive. We delivered our verdict just before 3, and were released to the outside world. I went for a walk around the east end of Princes Street and then up on Calton Hill. The haar is well and truly in and it's been a dull old day, as can be seen frpm the blip of the Dugald Stewart monument and the castle disappearing into the mist. Let's hope tomorrow is rather better, as I'm free to enjoy it.
