Early bird

We have noticed the female Blackbird flitting in and out of a small ornamental conifer tree and believe she must have a nest in there.

I was sat at the window feeling pleased to see the Redpoll, Goldfinch and a few Siskins again when this fellow started scratching in the garden near the window. He was giving the leaves a good turn over, total dedication to the job in hand. Only when looking at the results on the iPad did I see what he was after. Breakfast.

A beautiful looking day out there, it must be a good one for gardeners, and birds of course
