Waking up on Bellingham Bay

After yesterday's wild adventure that took us hundreds of miles out of the way, I was determined to start today right. Extra time spent in the tiny but luxurious double bed, cuddling, with the sound of rain outside and a passing-by train (or two) was how my Sunday started. Our biggest decision at 8:30am was whether we order breakfast in bed or walk a few hundred yards down to the waterfront restaurant. We chose the restaurant and I'm so glad we did as we got to watch the rain on the bay as we enjoyed our coffee and delicious food. It's always bittersweet packing up, especially since our stay was so short, but we took a walk out on the pier in the rain before we left to prolong our stay just a bit. Highlight of my day, all happening before we even hit the 12 'o clock hour.
