Replacing waste pipes.
Unexpected job was sorting out the grey water waste system at Rue Max.
Found a problem on Thursday - bath wouldn't drain - so went under the house to have a look. Found a leak (doh), and found a section of the iron waste pipes rusted out. Can't let it rent with either of these problems.
Couldn't go under the house on Friday as it was raining hard, and Saturday was still drying out. So....with tenants moving in on Tuesday, today was my only day (tomorrow the tub refinisher guy is in - and must have a draining bath).
Things I discovered - 1 sawzall blade per cut. Iron fittings blunt the blades in no time at all. I also discovered that it was a really nice job to do - the rubber fittings that I used to replace the old stuff was just sooo easy to work with. Very pleased with the results.
Not so pleased with my repair to the leak. Made it worse.....we'll skip discussing that right now.
