Mothering Sunday

My girls.

I wrote a hugely long and probably over sentimental piece to go with this photo, and then my laptop crashed. I'm cross, my daughters will probably be happy.

Anyway - I am proud beyond belief that I have been part of the magical journey that took these girls from two gorgeous babies to the amazing, strong, independent fantastic women that they now are.

I was looking for some music that reflects how I feel about them - and utterly failed.

I went through:

Maddy Prior's Rose - this really makes me smile and reminds me of how they were as they grew up.

I love that I'm Mum to Bethany and Briony, Mummy Lynne to Katie, Louise, Chris, Bex - aunt to Jaya and Mia: step gran to Kayla, daughter, sister, cousin..... I'm proud of all of my roles.


So - to all of you:

I love you from the bottom of my pencil case

So I'm thanking you today because of you I am now me
