Swan Lake

Day 454 - another mega lie in despite the clocks springing forward, followed by another few hours of being traumatised by fabric choices for the van curtains.

Still picked my little dude up for the afternoon and was greeted with a big smile and an even bigger Mothers Day potted flower and cards. The handmade one was of course the best.

Brief foray to the shops to pick up the (pre) roast chicken for my Mother's Day tea the boy promised to cook for me before heading over Kingsbury Water Park for a bike ride/ adventure playground/ swan baiting few hours.

I love the conversations I have with my 6 year old, especially the one as we sat and scoffed ice creams. He sidled up to me and whispered:

I think you should have a movie night, you can choose what to watch I don't mind cos I'll be COOKING'

My suggestion of Tangled (anything other than a kids film would be asking for trouble) was greeted with nah it's pants ...... It's just about hair.

So we ate the chicken, chips and salad pretty much all prepared by Roo and settled down to watch Planes instead (see earlier point about film choice).

After what has been a testing week, it's so nice to have my caring sharing little dude back x
