The Perfect Perennial
Today, in between the mist and rain, I ventured out with my camera to look for signs of life in the garden and was happy to see the daylily plants were pushing through the ground. I am looking forward to when they are in full bloom like this one I blipped late last spring.
The daylily is often called "the perfect perennial", due to its brilliant colors, ability to tolerate drought and to thrive in many different climate zones, and low maintenance. They happen to be a favorite of mine and I have many types in my gardens.
Until I have some colorful blooms in the garden I added some color by putting this garden flag out. Maybe next weekend I will take out some of the garden décor from the shed and add it around the yard.
