Happy Mother's Day Granny

With my eldest Daughter on holiday in Portugal, I thought that today might be a quiet Sunday, pottering in the garden and catching up with some housework.

Instead, it turned out to be a very busy Sunday, as my youngest Daughter and the family decided that a barbecue would be a good idea. She called at the supermarket and bought enough food to feed an army....and there was only three adults and one small toddler to eat it all (poor Mr E usually misses out on these things, as he's always working!) Minnie Bo Bo is still on pureed food, so she was no help.

Lighting the coals, getting them to the right temperature, preparing and cooking the food, took 3 hours! We got our lunch at 4.30, by which time I'd gone past eating. After cleaning the bomb site kitchen and walking the dogs, it was 9 o'clock.

I thought Mother's Day was meant to be a relaxing day.......phew.
