A simple blip ..

I left my hosts' house a bit early, so I could do some photography before the rehearsal.

And when I got to the spot where I wanted to try to track down a green woodpecker, I discovered I had no battery in my camera, and the spare was in the van and flat .. waaah!

I decided I'd try to make do with my bridge camera - but it really isn't fast enough for wildlife.

While I was waiting for my woodpecker, four jays flew past and landed in the tree next to me - I tried to take a photo but it's a bit grim .. so here's a daisy!
